In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.

The mission focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Content

Players who finish the quest will receive an exclusive katana in addition to several items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
